Design and performance of an explicit parametric controller for a solid oxide fuel cell (Sofc) system Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • Fuel cell power systems have exceptional potential and applications for both stationary and mobile applications due to their outstanding energy efficiency and environmental characteristics. A discussion covers the development of a parametric controller for a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system; parametric control of the SOFC system temperature; control action function for each of the subregions; basis for the controller design problem; model identification and reduction methodologies; and temperature control via suitable manipulation of the fuel and oxidant flowrates, and the use of the produced voltage signal. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 2006 AIChE Annual Meeting (San Francisco, CA 11/12-17/2006).
