abstract
The paper describes a mixed integer optimization formulation for the well allocation/operation of integrated gas/oil production systems, which takes into account the interactions between the reservoir, the pipeline network and the surface separation facility. To address the complexity and high dimensionality of the resulting optimization model, an efficient approximation solution strategy is proposed, which is based on outer approximation principles and illustrated with an example problem. 2002 Elsevier B.V.
