In this work we present a general framework for the design and validation of explicit/multi-parametric MPC controllers for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC). The framework features four key steps comprising the development of a dynamic mathematical model of the process at hand, the development of a reduced order model of the process and the design of an explicit/multi-parametric MPC for online control.
