Towards a method for ontology driven systems reengineering (ODSR) Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • The research described in this paper seeks to address the technical barriers associated with the affordable application of knowledge management methods to systems reengineering and legacy system migration problems. Our long term goal is to develop innovative solutions that address the problems associated with rapidly designing, developing, and deploying large scale knowledge based applications. An intermediate goal is to develop technology to facilitate the rapid and affordable reengineering of software systems and applications. Our overall approach is to conceptualize and validate a framework and a methodology for sustainable knowledge management that encompasses the entire knowledge life cycle: capture/discovery, representation, analysis, validation, storage, retrieval, (in-context) delivery, and evolution over extended periods of time.
