Bermudian groundwater is contaminated with nitrates from sewage and fertiliser sources. Phosphate concentrations are low due to active removal by interactions with rock and soil. Chloride, bromide and sulphate concentrations in the groundwater are controlled by simple mixing of rainwater after evapotranspiration with seawater. -Authors
