abstract

• The generation, detection and uses of picosecond pulses from Q-switched mode-locked lasers are discussed. Saturation recovery time in polymethine dyes has been measured with crossed laser beams. The nonradiative relaxation of azulene in the lowest excited singlet is described using a two-photon technique. 1970.
