A simple and inexpensive technique is presented whereby the analog data on a photograph obtained in standard oscilloscope experiments may be digitized. The automatic system is much faster than manual digitizing when a large number of data points must be analyzed. It is also versatile enough to allow several levels of sophistication, depending on individual requirements of speed, accuracy, and expense. © 1972 The American Institute of Physics.
