abstract
Two-photon absorption of light has been investigated by a technique involving the amplification of mode-locked dye-laser pulses in a cell excited by two-photon absorption. From the experimental measurements it is possible to calculate an absolute value for the two-photon molecular absorption cross section. 1971 The American Physical Society.
