abstract
The structures formed during the photodicosiation of CBr4 in alcohol solution have been measured by means of a novel ultrafast time-resolved x-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) experimental system, suitable for the direct determination of ultrafast transient structures of molecules in the liquid and solid phase. The EXAFS spectra of the starting and final products of the reaction were measured and analyzed.
