abstract
Direct experimental evidence shows that the low-power optical phase-conjugation efficiencies and decay times of semiconductor-doped glasses are strongly influenced by the sample temperature. The decay time of the phase-conjugate signal is found to be a single exponential at room temperature and a biexponential at 100 K. A mechanism that is commensurate with the experimental data is discussed. 1992 Optical Society of America.
