abstract
A large scale model test program has been established to study the dynamic response behavior of TLP tendons designated for water depths ranging from 1000m to 1200m. This study focuses on the wave induced force components and tension loads in the tendons. The data are presented using statistical quantities and probability plots to establish correlations between key parameters and to examine the degree on non-Gaussian behavior of the measured responses. Select time series data illustrate some of the interesting dynamic behavior observed. By applying linear auto-spectral and cross-spectral analysis techniques to these time series, a physical interpolation of the data is given.
