abstract
The effects of microbubbles injection within the boundary layer to achieve drag reduction are investigated. Modifications in the structure of the turbulent boundary layer of a channel flow are studied to clarify the effects of the microbubbles presence. A comparison of the integral length scale for the streamwise and normal components of the fluctuating velocity is performed. The autocorrelation coefficients are calculated from the velocity vectors obtained from particle image velocimetry (PIV) measurements in various directions with various inclination angles to the wall surface of 0, 18.5, 26.5, 45, 63.5, 71.5, and 90.
