abstract
The introduction of a visualiazation technique for structural design education is discussed. The visualization techniques are broadly classified as image visualization/animation, digital image manipulation, interactive flow-chart based analysis/design, Java-VRML based design animation, and walk-through virtual navigation. It is observed that the Web-based teaching and learning has potential advantages compared to traditional education. It is also observed that the animation/visualization techniques provide virtual experiential learning when combined with interactive design animation and virtual design navigation.
