abstract
Digital simulator developments are carried out in Texas A&M University (TAMU) and funded by Electric Research Power Institute (EPRI) for power system modeling and simulation. TAMU inherited most of the hardware and software used in the original simulator development, and with further support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), it has implemented advanced teaching and training simulator facilities. These simulators can be utilized for educational and training activities such as modeling and simulation studies for understanding different power system phenomena, evaluation of devices and systems for monitoring, protection and control using digital modeling and simulation, and testing of devices and systems using real-time digital simulators.
