abstract
This paper presents some of the findings from the data collected for a four-year, multiuniversity, and multidiscipline project on how economic principles can be integrated with design into the engineering science courses of the undergraduate engineering curriculum funded by the National Science Foundation. Four courses were initially developed and tested at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Some of these new courses were also beta tested at the University of Louisville.
