abstract
In this paper, we investigate the impact of multiple correlated antennas on the performance of transmit antenna selection with receive maximal ratio combining (TAS/MRC) model. Multiple correlated antennas are considered at the primary and secondary users in dual-hop underlay cognitive radio system. The transmit power condition of our proposed spectrum-sharing system is governed by interference temperature limit on the primary networks and the maximum transmission power at the secondary network. An exact expression for the outage probability of the proposed system is derived. To gain further insights, simple asymptotic expression for the outage probability is provided to obtain the achievable diversity order and coding gain of the system. All derived analytical results are corroborated by simulation results to show the correctness of our derived results. 2014 IEEE.
