Artificial intelligence approach to controlling SRM drives with manufacturing imperfections Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • This paper introduces the problem of parameter variation in mass production of switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive. Eccentricity has been chosen as an example to show the effects of manufacturing tolerances on the steady state and dynamics of the SRM drives. Artificial intelligence methods have been employed to overcome the effects of parameter variation on the drive control. Comparison of results with classical approaches shows a significant improvement in performance of the SRM drive.
