abstract
IEEE. A new high voltage source called the electronic voltage ratchet (EVR) is described. This circuit utilizes a series resonant topology with silicon controlled rectifiers. Computer simulation is used to study the behavior of this converter and to verify the theory. Also, a design methodology is developed. Finally, the analysis and simulation of the circuit is experimentally verified in the laboratory.
