abstract
Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equations Modeling are used to develop an instrument for Internet self-efficacy and other constructs to test the hypothesized relationships. It is shown that user's Internet self-efficacy is a statistically significant predictor of Internet usage. The theoretical background related to self-efficacy is discussed and several propositions are advanced. It is shown that training and Internet specific factors are correlated with the Internet self-efficacy.
