abstract

  • 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. To date, the highest correlation between meat consumption and cancer incidence is between processed meats or red meat and colon cancer. However, patterns of intake including large amounts of meats and processed meats containing elevated levels of mutagens appear to be linked to some other cancers. This article documents the incidence data for several cancers and discusses the findings from recent publications that have evaluated the relationship between meat consumption and cancer incidence. 2014 Copyright
