abstract
The correct way of taking the surface limit in the integral equation of formulations of electromagnetics was discussed. The two common methods namely flat disk approach and the hemispherical indentation approach for extracting principal parts from the surface integral equations of electromagnetics were also analyzed. It was observed that different results were obtained using the two approaches. It was also found by examining the conical indentation method that the hemispherical indentation technique is flawed.
