The stability of the origin and periodic orbits of autonomous Hamiltonian systems in which the Hamiltonian is indefinite and the relation between the frequencies ωP1 and ω2 of the linearized system is ω1≈ 3ω2 are investigated using the two time variable method. Bounds on the non-periodic motions about the equilibrium point are also obtained. © 1971.
