This paper describes the current applied mathematics research activities in astrodynamics at the Naval Research Laboratory. These activities include computerized algebraic manipulation, analytic orbit theories, autonomous navigation, and flexible spacecraft dynamics. This research addresses current and future Navy needs in space and is supported by the Office of Naval Research under the Applied Mathematics Sub-element.
