abstract
Correlating observations with one another or with known objects as well as detecting and characterizing maneuvers is examined. A survey of existing observation correlation and maneuver detection techniques is given, and potential shortcomings for maneuvering spacecraft identified. Existing optimal control correlation and maneuver detection methods are extended to accommodate arbitrary general intermediate state constraints and associated distributions, as well as dynamics parameter uncertainty. Simulated results are reviewed, and conclusions and future work are outlined.
