abstract
This note gives the detailed fitted curve of the dynamic polarizability () of carbon tetrachloride. The curve fit is obtained from spectroscopic measurements reported in the literature combined with oscillator strength sum-rule constraints imposed by theory. As an example of an application of this new fit, the carbon tetrachloride Lifshitz-Hamaker constant is calculated to be 9.92 10-13 erg. 1991.
