abstract
Squeezing phenomenon in a coupled quantum-oscillator system, where a harmonic oscillator was coupled to a pumped ancillary oscillator was investigated. Damping strength of oscillator was generated through the fluctuating forces of the reservoir, which was represented by the noise operators. Hamiltonian which described the mechanism of squeezing by damping was derived using numerical methods. Results indicated enhanced squeezing effect with increased damping rate of harmonic oscillator.
