Needs and advancements in power engineering education - Summary Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • Recent deregulation activities in the utility industry have initiated significant changes in the way the industry will operate in the future. This will have a profound impact on the power engineering education programs. As a result, these programs have to be reengineered and better tuned to the industry needs. In line with this, a panel session was recently conducted which gathered some prominent representatives from three segments of the professional community. Their initial comments and insights into the needs and advancements in power engineering education are summarized in three separate papers, each containing the views coming from the three representatives.
