abstract
Experience of digital simulator application in testing distance relays is discussed in this paper. The main application issues are as follows: automated testing of distance relay operating characteristics; synchronized testing of two-terminal relaying schemes; modeling and simulation of power swings; automated batch execution of a large number of transient tests; compliance requirements for power amplifiers.
