Near-Infrared Subwavelength-Wire Lasers Conference Paper

abstract

• We report the first observation of near-infrared (NIR) lasing in subwavelength semiconductor wires. The optically-pumped GaSb subwavelength-wire-based lasers promise to be useful for future NIR photonic integrated circuits and systems. 2006 Optical Society of America.
