abstract

  • The displacement of Et 3SiH and THF from the ( 6- C 6H 6)Cr(CO) 2(HSiEt 3)) and ( 6-C 6H 6)Cr(CO) 2(THF) complexes has been studied. Both solvents are displaced from the metal center by a dissociative mechanism. Kinetic and thermodynamic measurements suggest that the Cr-HSiEt 3 bond is 3 kcal/mol more stable than the Cr-THF interaction. 2005 American Chemical Society.
