abstract
The development of optical sensors was analyzed for the measurement of hydroxyl, nitric oxide and carbon monoxide from the exhaust streams of combustion system. The optical sensors were sensitive in detection with respect to chemiluminescent analyzers and diode laser sensors. The sensors integrated with real time combustion control were presented. The detection capability of the optical sensors was found to be 5 ppb for 1-meter path length in combustion exhaust gas at 1000 K and 1 bar.
