Absorption based UV-sensors for combustion processes Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • 2001 IEEE. The recent progress in the areas of external cavity diode lasers, nonlinear optics and fiber amplification enable new optical sensors based on absorption spectroscopy in the UV range. Since transitions between electronic excited states are utilized, these sensors potentially offer higher sensitivity than comparable infra-red absorption sensors. Our work on OH and NO sensors is discussed.
