abstract
Laser-induced phase transformations in semiconductor nanocrystals was investigated. After irradiation with 532-nm laser light, nanocrystals were transformed into cubic structure, which was most stable for smaller size nanocrystals. Results indicated that coherent laser excitation resulted in a selective modification of nanocrystals. This produced change of size, shape and crystal structure of nanocrystals.
