abstract
Low-carbon copper-bearing steels which are alloyed with Mn, Ni, Mo together with active elements which form carbonitrides (V, Nb, Al), are highly practicable for welding and have high strength properties as a result of the dispersion precipitation of copper from the solid solution when the carbon content is low. This article gives the results of investigations into the effect of alloying elements on the industrial suitability and operating characteristics of low-carbon copper-bearing steels, whose chemical composition is shown in the article (weight %).
