THE RESULTS OF POSTIRRADIATION EXAMINATIONS OF VVER-1000 AND VVER-440 FUEL-RODS

abstract

• The paper presents the results of postirradiation examination of the fuel rods having different fuel-cladding gaps, pellet densities, pellet inner diameters and so on. The fuel rods were irradiated in the material science reactor (MR) of the Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy and at 4 unit of the Novo-Voronezh nuclear powerplant. Some data on fission gas release and rod geometry and compared with computer code predictions. 1991.
