abstract
Monte Carlo methods were used on simulated flow and concentration data to determine the probable error when calculating event mass loads at sampling stations. Four chemograph profiles were constructed and simulated for 100 simulated runoff events. Eight sampling strategies were employed at various frequencies to determine mass loads for each event. Total percent mass load error and a standard mass load error were calculated for each scheme, profile, and event.
