abstract
A new boil-off calorimeter, the first of this type to use electrical matching techniques, is described. Novel features include steady-state cycles with no sampling for either the experimental or calorimetric fluids the latter cycle being a thermo-syphon. Enthalpies for pure components and mixtures are measurable from 50 to 600 C with pressures from 0.14 to 172 MPa. Calibration data for water/steam show an average difference of 0.2% with the Steam Tables. 1984, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
