abstract
A high-throughput impedance spectroscopy-based microfluidic system for cell and particle position detection has been for the first time developed. A simple integrated tilted microelectrode pair allows detection of cell/particle position within a microfluidic channel using a single-channel impedance analyzer, providing low-cost solution for both position detection and quantification. Successful discriminations of three transverse position within a microfluidic channel at high-throughput of more than 400 particles/s has been achieved.
