abstract
Composite temperatures consisting of emitted and reflected long wave radiation from a barley crop and the soil background were measured by a nadir-viewing IR radiometer. A model which considered emitted radiation from both the canopy and the soil background and included reflected long wave sky radiance was used to predict crop temperature from nadir measurements. -from Field Crop Abstracts
