abstract

  • An analysis regarding on what a group of Society for Range Management (SRM) members understand about the relative importance of various elements of rangeland science education is presented. The employment categories and the personal values were determined regarding the relative importance of rangeland products that has influenced the perspectives on rangeland science education programs. These perspectives are an important matter to be considered for academia as the SRM membership represents a broad spectrum of rangeland managers, scientists, and educators whose experiences help them to think about the necessary skills for an effective rangeland stewards. Furthermore, this analysis can make rangeland professionals realize the importance of the degree of shared and divergent viewpoints represented in the SRM membership.
