In this paper, a class of chaotic systems with both discrete and distributed time-varying delays are considered without assuming the differentiability of the time-varying delays, the stabilization and synchronization for the considered chaotic systems are investigated via intermittent control with non-fixed both control period and control width. Several delay-dependent criteria for checking the stabilization and synchronization for the considered chaotic systems are presented by employing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and using the matrix inequality techniques. The obtained results extend ones on stabilization and synchronization of delayed chaotic systems by periodically intermittent control with both fixed control period and control width. An example with simulations is given to show the effectiveness of the obtained results.
