We prove that if u (x) is a C 2 positive solution of 0 -u u n/(n-2) in a punctured neighborhood of the origin in n (n 3), then u (x) = O (|x| 2-n ) as |x| 0 + , and u (x) is asymptotically radial as |x| 0 + . We obtain a similar result for C 2 positive solutions of the Gaussian curvature problem 0 -u e u in a punctured neighborhood of the origin in 2 .
