abstract
This paper discusses modeling of common mode failures in the reliability evaluation of electric transmission lines. More specifically, the effect of probability distribution of state residence times on reliability indices is investigated. The various models give varying response to the form of the probability distribution. Copyright 1982 by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
