Low Loss Rapidly Tunable Optical Add Drop Multiplexer in Ti: Linb03 Conference Paper

abstract

• Polarization-independent guided-wave electrooptically tunable wavelength filters were produced in Ti:LiNbO3. The electro-optic and thermo-optic wavelength tuning were also studied. Optical characterization was carried out using the amplified spontaneous emission from an erbium-doped fiber amplifier as a broad band light source. The temporal response to tuning voltage and the insertion loss of the devices were also discussed.
