abstract

  • Data transmission in a fluoride-glass fiber has been demonstrated for the first time with the use of a Ti: LiNbO//3 modulator designed for the fiber loss minimum at 2. 6 mu m. Results on the modulator characteristics and fiber bandwidth are also reported.
