abstract
The effect of some model parameters on experimental data analysis and prediction of reactor performance for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction in a bubble column slurry reactor has been studied, using the experimental data of Schlesinger et al.[5], and the operating conditions similar to the ones used in the Rheinpreussen-Koppers demonstration plant unit as examples. It is shown that the liquid phase mixing and the gas volume contraction have a strong effect on estimation of kinetic parameters and prediction of the reactor performance at high values of hydrogen conversion. The implications of these findings on the previous analysis by Satterfield and Huff[1], and Deckwer et al.[2] are discussed. 1983.
