abstract
Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) is a single user modulation format which has been shown to effectively extract the diversity offered by frequency selective fading channels with a moderate complexity. In this paper we apply this technique to provide diversity via multiple transmit antennas. It is shown that CDM can be used as an alternative to conventional transmit diversity schemes and can also simultaneously extract the diversity offered by multiple transmit antennas and frequency selectivity.
