abstract
The thermal conductance of the vagina of ewes increased one day prior to the onset of estrus; a significant decrease occurred one day after the beginning of estrus. This rise and fall in thermal conductance appear to correlate with cyclic changes in the secretion of estrogens which have pronounced effects on blood flow in the reproductive tract. 1973.
