Space-time code performance analysis for quasi-static fading channels

A new upper bound is presented for the error rate of a space-time coded transmit diveristy communication system operating over a quasi-static Rayleigh fading channel. This bound gives a tool to study the relative performance of different coding schemes and hence to determine appropriate design tools for such codes.
