abstract
Increasing the amount of water which can be supplied by existing reservoir systems is becoming an increasingly important means for meeting growing water needs. The paper outlines several reservoir management strategies, within the general categories of system operations, storage reallocations, and buffer zone operations. A case study illustrates the potential of these approaches for improving yields. Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
